We all know how frustrating it is when a package is on its way and you just can’t wait to get it and get to playing with a new toy. Domenick Nati didn’t want to wait a single extra day for his package to be delivered so he made a plan. Rather than sit home all day and wait for the delivery, Nati wrote a note and offered up a bribe to the delivery person if they would just leave his package rather than coming back for a signature.
Nati often shares funny pictures of the things he says and does on social media accounts and was sure to share his UPS note as well. That’s when one of his friends posted the postal service bribe on Reddit where it stayed on the front page all day on Wednesday. Then, the story was picked up by outlets such as the Huffington Post and MTV.
Affixed to the note was a $20 bill, the small bribe in case the UPS delivery person was so inclined to forge a signature as indicated by the note. The hilarious note left on Nati’s front door in Virginia read:
Dear UPS guy (or girl),
Please leave the package at the door if I am not here, for I am an adult child and cannot wait until tomorrow.
If this delivery requires a signature, please forge the example below and take this small bribe.
For those who may be wondering, the package was delivered and no signature was necessary. Domenick Nati told Examiner exclusively what was inside the box and it’s understandable why he got so excited. The Amazon Prime package contained virtual reality headgear, guaranteeing hours of fun in the Nati household.
We also asked if the UPS delivery person took the $20 that was affixed to the bribery note where Nati admits to being an “adult child.” He said that the cash was still there, taped to the note when he got home. Sitting right below was his package, the much-anticipated toy that he just couldn’t wait another single day to play with.
