According to the Electronic Urban Report on April 27, a new four-hour morning drive-time radio show, “Get Up! Mornings with Erica Campbell” show is replacing “The Yolanda Adams Morning Show.” Campbell’s show, like Adams’ show, will be syndicated nationally beginning May 10 from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. ET. The new radio show will be produced by Reach Media Inc. in collaboration with Radio One.
Praise 104.7 reported that the multi-award winning gospel artist and reality TV star will bring her voice, inspiration, charisma and style to listeners like Yolanda Adams did on her show for nine years. When Yolanda Adams first started her morning talk show on Radio One in 38 cities, people did not know as much about her as they did when her show ended abruptly on Thursday, April 21.
During Adams’ time on the radio, listeners got to learn about her family, especially her daughter Taylor and other intimate things about the gospel singer. Like Adams, listeners will also get to know Campbell much better. Why wait? Here are some interesting things about the new host of the drive-time morning show.
Erica Campbell has been in the music business for nearly two decades. She has repeatedly topped Billboard charts and won every music award possible. The 43-year-old singer was once the other half of Mary Mary with her younger sister Tina Campbell. Both women have now gone solo.
Erica is married to Warryn Campbell. The couple resides in Los Angeles, California with their three children, Krista Nicole, Warryn III, and Zaya Monique. Expect to learn more about Erica and her family as you listen to “Get Up! Mornings with Erica Campbell.” Like Yolanda Adams, she will probably overshare.
Erica started singing at an early age, but she stopped singing when she was 13 years old because she forgot the words to a song. She didn’t sing again until she was 16. Erica went to hair school and once worked in a hair salon. However, she has always had a passion for singing. That’s why she has made it her career.
