Here’s your chance to sample some fine wines created by some of your favorite celebrities. Just hop aboard the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad’s “Grape Escape” train excursion taking place on Saturday, March 5 with a theme of “Celebrity Wines.”
Departing from the Rockside Station in Independence, Ohio at 7 p.m., this 2-hour “Grape Escape” excursion through the Cuyahoga Valley National Park will give passengers the opportunity to sample 5 different wines created from the minds of some of their favorite celebrities. Wine experts on board will teach passengers about various wine characteristics such as aroma, body, bouquet and finish.
In addition to the five wine samples, chef-prepared hor d’oeuvres designed to complement each wine will also be served. Each guest will receive a complimentary tasting glass to commemorate the evening. Coach seats (2 seats facing 2 seats) are available for $60 per person. Deluxe seating in one of the dining cars is $80 per person. A First Class ticket will get you seating in a premium first class car with access to the panoramic upper dome glass enclosure. Cost is $90 per person. An Executive ticket with a seat in the newly remodeled Saint Lucie Sound luxury car is $96 per person.
