The “Dancing with the Stars” season 22 cast won’t be revealed until March 8, but according to a Feb. 25 ET exclusive, actress Kim Fields will be among the hopeful hoofers when the curtain rises this spring. An unnamed source spilled the beans.
Fields, 46, became a household name when she played the spunky, roller skate-loving Tootie Ramsey on the hit ’80s sitcom “The Facts of Life.” She went on to star as Regine Hunter on “Living Single,” and recently joined the cast of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” Coincidentally, another “RHOA” regular –former show star Kim Zolciak-Biermann– competed for the coveted mirror ball trophy during the show’s fall 2015 edition. Her season came to an abrupt and disappointing end after a medical emergency left her unable to leave Atlanta.
“DWTS” has seen several “Real Housewives” alums vie for the title during previous seasons, including Zolciak-Biermann, Lisa Rinna (season two), Lisa Vanderpump (season 16), and NeNe Leakes (season 18). Contestants have also been culled from an array of other reality shows, including “Jersey Shore” (in both Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino), “The Bachelor,” and “The Hills.”
Although casting rumors have been scarce, Fields’ name is not the only that’s been floated by spoiler sources. NFL star Antonio Brown raised eyebrows when he recently followed both the official “DWTS” Twitter page and that of pro dancer Sharna Burgess. Rather than denying the rumor, Brown’s agent said to check back “in a few days.” “Full House” alum Jodie Sweetin is also expected to take part.
