The Duke vs. Notre Dame live stream online and televised 2016 ACC Tournament game takes place on Thursday afternoon from the Verizon Center with the Blue Devils hoping to make it 2-0 so far in their conference tourney. On Wednesday, they survived a close call, defeating the North Carolina State Wolfpack by three points. Now they’ll face the higher-seeded Fighting Irish, who have won this tournament within the past several years. Can the Blue Devils move their seed for the Big Dance up with a few big wins in this tournament? The ACC Tournamnet live streaming online and TV coverage will be available to fans through the ACC and ESPN Networks on Thursday.
According to CBS Sports in their March 9 report, Duke was able to survive the Wolfpack in their second round game and earned a 92-89 victory at the buzzer. It made for the highest scoring game in the ACC Tournament since 1990, as well as the highest-scoring first half since 1974 when David Thompson was playing for NC State. This year’s matchup featured two of the ACC’s top scorers in Anthony “Cat” Barber and Grayson Allen. Barber finished with 29 points on 10-for-18 shooting including 4-for-7 from three-point range. Allen was not the high scorer with 19 points as Kennard and Ingram had 22 points each. Marshall Plumlee also came up big with a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds to help lead the way.
Today Duke tries to get up some energy to face the No. 4 seed Notre Dame, who had several days off leading into this matchup. The Fighting Irish were 20-10 for the season and finished fifth in the conference. During the regular season, the teams played just once and Notre Dame scored the 95-91 upset on the road. Allen was held to 18 points in the game, but Kennard finished with 30 points and Ingram, 25 points. The Fighting Irish out rebounded them 38-33 to win the battle of the boards and also shot 50 percent in the win. Notre Dame also kept good control of the ball with just six turnovers, something they’ll look to repeat in today’s tournament matchup.
