The Duke vs. Florida State live stream online and televised basketball matchup highlights Thursday night’s 2016 NCAA game schedule. Coming into the contest, the Blue Devils are ranked No. 15 overall with a 20-7 record and 9-5 in conference. FSU has been more disappointing with a dismal 6-9 conference and 16-11 overall record. Despite Duke being heavy favorites tonight, FSU will try for a major upset on the road at Cameron Indoor Stadium to gain some momentum towards the ACC Tournament that’s coming soon. Fans will watch 2016 NCAA live streaming online and televised game coverage on Thursday evening thanks to ESPN networks.
On Feb. 25, The Fayetteville Observer, a win for the Duke Blue Devils tonight would create a three-way tie for fourth place in the ACC standings. While North Carolina leads the conference with a record of 12-3, both Virginia and Notre Dame currently sport records of 10-5 each. Duke, at 9-5, is just a half game behind those two schools. Miami and Louisville are currently 11-4 in the conference, making for an interesting battle heading into the postseason tournaments that begin in March. The good news for Duke fans is they’ll be taking on a FSU team that is 6-9 in the conference, and it will be a home game in front of the “Cameron Crazies” on Duke’s campus. Currently, they rank at No. 16 in the nation in points scored, averaging 82.4 per contest, while FSU is giving up 73.7 points per game, tying them for 227th in the nation in that defensive category.
More good news for Duke will be the fact that coach Mike Krzyzewski has said he expects both guards Matt Jones and Derryck Thornton to play in tonight’s game. Jones didn’t play at all in Duke’s recent loss to Louisville after suffering a sprained ankle, while Thornton had to sit out in the second half due to his right shoulder injury. Duke continues to hope for the return of their senior star Amile Jefferson, who has now missed 18-straight games. Jefferson’s been dealing with a broken bone in his right foot since mid-December, but his return could elevate Duke into even more serious contenders for the National Championship. After tonight’s game against FSU, the Blue Devils will play at Pittsburgh on Sunday, followed by home games against Wake on Mar. 1 and a grand finale for the season at home against UNC.
For tonight’s game, sports books have Duke as a 10-point favorite to win. They’re also a -500 favorite on the moneyline, with Florida State considered +400 underdogs. FSU has been 10-16-1 overall against the spread, or 5-5-1 on the road. Duke has been 15-12-0 overall, 14-9 as the favorite and 10-7 at home ATS. Tonight’s over/under points total is at 157 points for the game. Duke is among the contenders for a National Championship this year with current odds of 14 to 1 to win it all, making them fifth overall on the future odds list. The Michigan State Spartans lead all teams with 15 to 2 odds, followed by North Carolina at 8 to 1 odds to win it all.
