In Detroit, Michigan the Detroit Animal Control rescued a severely injured dog on Saturday who was found wandering along the streets in Bloomfield Hills, reports WxyzNews.
Dubbed Faygo, the dog was turned over to the Detroit Dog Rescue and suffers from traumatic injuries. When found, the dog was wearing a collar with a tag attached, however according to the Detroit Animal Control, the name of the owner corresponding to the dog’s tag, denies having any information or connection to the dog. Although authorities are not discounting Faygo may have been hit by a car, the dog’s head trauma injuries are not consistent with an automobile accident, and the dog may have been intentionally abused and beaten.
Faygo is now recovering at a veterinary hospital in Oakland County where surgeons will need to remove the dog’s eye. If anyone has any information about this dog, the Detroit Dog Rescue asks you to email Kristina@gmail.com. Faygo’s veterinarian expenses are expected to exceed $3,000.
