Tony is an eight-year-old handsome German shepherd who arrived at the Riverside County Animal Control as a stray on March 23. His family never bothered to look for him, and whether Tony is despondent and has just given up or is not feeling well, he barely acknowledges anyone passing by his kennel. A volunteer visiting Tony had these heartbreaking words to describe him: “Met this old boy today. Was either tired or sad. Just laid there like this. No tail wag or anything.”
Sadly, Tony has been listed to be euthanized, and needs immediate help. Click here for Tony’s Facebook page. “I am a male, tan and black German Shepherd Dog. The shelter staff think I am about 8 years old. I have been at the shelter since Mar 23, 2016.” Contact the Riverside County Animal Control – City of Colton at (951) 358-7387. Ask for information about animal ID number A1270192. Pledges have been made for an approved rescue organization. No medical notes have been shared, but interested parties are asked to call the shelter direct and speak with authorized personnel. Please share Tony’s plight with family, friends and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives; Tony should not have to die in a shelter because of an irresponsible and heartless owner.
