Dining out on the Jersey Shore is especially pleasant once the weather starts to warm up. Here are two fabulous ideas for dining out on Easter Sunday where you can inhale the fragrant salt air and enjoy magnificent waterfront views.
Salt Creek Grille at Rumson will celebrate Easter Sunday, March 27 with a delicious à la carte dinner from noon – 7 p.m. Children’s menu is also available. This year as in past, guests will find the familiar favorites and new dishes not found on Salt Creek Grille’s regular menu as well as several gluten-free appetizers, entrées, a decadent dessert, and vegetarian options.
Some offerings on the menu are a selection of appetizers such as Artichoke and Parmesan Creamed Spinach Dip ($14), which can easily be shared; Ahi Tuna Stack, sashimi style, avocado, cucumber, wasabi, soy ($19 and gluten-free), and Carrot Ginger Soup, rich broth base, carrots, ginger, parsley, dill ($8 and gluten-free). Salads include: Salt Creek House with Granny Smith apples, gorgonzola crumbles, glazed walnuts, balsamic vinaigrette on baby mixed greens ($8), and Classic Caesar with shaved Asiago cheese, toasted croutons, and traditional Caesar dressing over crisp chopped romaine ($9). A few of the special Entrées are: The Grille Chop, 14 oz., double thick, center cut, thyme butter, apple chutney, Yukon gold potatoes, farmer’s seasonal vegetables ($26 and gluten free); Prime Rib, au jus, Yukon Gold mashed potatoes and farmer’s seasonal vegetables ($33 and gluten-free); Crab Encrusted Grouper, oven roasted with lemon beurre blanc, citrus brown rice farmer’s seasonal vegetables ($30), and Spaghetti Squash Ravioli, corn, slivered almonds, snow peas, capers, kale with sweet tomato marmalade ($18). Ama Ristorante, the award-winning Tuscan restaurant on the oceanfront in Sea Bright, NJ, will celebrate Easter Sunday by serving a special à la carte brunch on Easter Sunday. Executive Chef Chuck Lesbirel, recently named one of the top young chefs at the Shore, has created a special one-of-a-kind menu for Easter. Brunch will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and reservations are recommended. Chef Lesbirel’s family-friendly menu includes a 3-Egg Breakfast (Three Eggs Your Way, Bacon or Sausage, Brioche Toast); French Toast (Brioche Bread, Macerated California Strawberries, Whipped Cream); Buttermilk Pancakes (Choice of Berries or Chocolate Chips, Vermont Maple Syrup); Quiche (Sundried Tomatoes, Spinach, Goat Cheese with House Salad with many more selections from which to choose.
