When “Dancing with the Stars” season 22 premieres March 21 on ABC, a long-absent professional dancer will be on-hand to serve as a pro coach. So which member of the old guard is set to make her grand return to the ballroom? According to a Feb. 27 tweet by spoiler source DWTSGossip, the lucky lady is Edyta Sliwinska.
Sliwinska, 34, competed in the first 10 seasons of “DWTS.” Her most recent appearance came during season 10, when she partnered soap star Aiden Turner to a ninth place finish. Her best placement came at the close of season six, when she and NFL star Jason Taylor placed second behind Olympic gold medalist Kristi Yamaguchi and Mark Ballas. Some of her other celebrity partners have included boxer Evander Holyfield (season one), “Cheers” star John Ratzenberger (season four), actor Joey Lawrence (season three), and actor Cameron Mathison (season five).
According to information compiled by fan site PureDWTS, some of the other pro dancers slated to return for season 22 are Ballas, Valentin Chmerkovskiy, and Peta Murgatroyd. Jenna Johnson is allegedly still a member of the show’s performance troupe. Rumored celebrity contestants include “The Facts of Life” alum Kim Fields, “Full House” star Jodie Sweetin, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown, and mixed martial artist Paige VanZant.
