The end of the year is drawing near, and if you still do not have any plans for ringing in the New Year, here are some of the many options available for you to get out and enjoy some live music to celebrate the beginning of 2016.
Richard Rawling’s Gas Monkey Bar & Grill will host Dallas New Years Eve 2016, Gas Monkey’s 3rd Annual NYE Party feat with Back In Black and Go Ask Alice. Get there by 8 p.m. to get in free. A limited amount of VIP tickets are available for $40. Tickets available at ticketfly.
The Reverend Horton Heat, a country-blues-rock band will play at Gas Monkey Live! Also on the bill this night are The Koffin Kats and the Vandoliers. Doors open at 7:00 p.m., with the show starting at 8:00 p.m. (ends at 11:59 p.m.) This is an all ages show. Here is the ticket info:

At the Bomb Factory in Deep Ellum, 97.1 The Eagle presents NYEVIL: HELLYEAH and SEVENDUST, with Nothing More, Red Sun Rising, Islander and Even The Dead Love A Parade. This is an all ages show. Doors: 6:00 p.m., show: 7:00 p.m. Here is the scoop on the tickets for this event:

On Dec. 31, Trees, located at 2709 Elm Street, will host Ishi, Dezi 5, TRUDEF and Super Sonic Lips. Another all ages show with doors opening at 7:00 p.m. and show starting at 8:00. Ticket info:

Across the street, Club Dada at 2720 Elm St. is where Transmission Events Presents This Will Destroy You, Cygnus and John Congleton. This is an 18 and over show with the doors opening at 9:00 p.m. and the show starting at 10:00 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 the day of the show.
You could spend New Year’s Eve this year with With Or Without U2 and Pearl Gem at The House of Blues Dallas. Doors open at 8:00 p.m. Show starts at 9:00 p.m. This is an All Ages Event. All tickets are General Admission Standing Room Only. Tickets are $20 in advance. Online sales will close at 8:00 p.m. on the day of the event. The line up for the Granada Theater’s New Year’s Eve Bash will be Jonathan Tyler & the Northern Lights, Somebody’s Darling and Dovetail. This is a show for ages 14 and over. Doors are at 8:00 pm., show is at 9:00 p.m. Tickets start at $30 for General Admission, and VIP tickets which include complimentary champagne, goodie bag and a seat in the balcony are $100. The Eric Tessmer Band will be at the Sundown at Granada.
O’Riley’s, located at 8989 Forest Lane, will have Bezel headlining their New Year’s Eve Party. Also playing on this night will be After Dark and Planet Blue.
For the New Year’s celebration at the Kessler Theater on West Davis Street, an 18-piece jazz orchestra called the Singapore Slingers will give party-goers the sounds of both new and old American pre-swing dance music. You can buy tickets now for $35 to $55 at prekindle.com. Your tickets will include a Champagne Toast and a sweet treat.
You could bring in the New Year with Emerald City, known as ” America’s Ultimate Party Band”, at the Hotel Intercontinental in Addison. Hotel packages are available so you don’t have to worry about drinking and driving, just take the elevator home on this night. Make sure to get your tickets early because this event always sells out. Sherlock’s Dallas will have the band Night Shift playing on Dec. 31. Sherlock’s Addison will host the Space Rockers. As always, there is no cover charge at either of these venues.
If you are a little farther north of Dallas, here are some options for you. You might ring in the New Year at Redrock Bar and Grill in far North Dallas with live music from The Good Kind. There is no cover charge. There will be a Champagne Toast for everyone at midnight. New Year’s Rocking Eve at Grover’s Grill will feature Red Leather at the Disco in Frisco! This band will bring in 2016 performing “The Greatest Hits of Rock”. Or you could celebrate the New Year at Tierney’s in Lewisville with the Hair Ballad Allstars, another band guaranteed to perform many of your favorite hits from the eighties up to the present. Sambucca 360 in Plano will have the high-energy dance band Safety Patrol from 9:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m. If you are looking for music of the eighties, this might be the spot for you.
