We all need to vote our conscience and that means diversity because we all believe in different things – the President of the United States is supposed to represent ALL the people ALL the time.
We have allowed social issues to become the battleground for electing a President when we need to remember that the President is – or should be – bound by the Constitution until it is legally changed in some way. To vote for someone on a single issue, that Presidents have little to do with in the first place, is to lose more and more precious freedoms in America.
When we vote for someone because of their race, their creed, their faith, or the way they look, we are missing the point completely. We need to vote for qualified people who understand the awesome responsibility of leading the best country in the world and not be deterred by rhetoric and/or foolish promises.
We need a Constitutional President who lets the people in each state (and in each home) decide what is important to them. We need a President who can take the blinders off to be able to see all around and not just straight forward to accommodate those with the deep pockets. The poor should be recognized and not patronized.
Our nation should not be up for sale and we need to elect a President who can lead and not one that follows every whim of a party or financial backers. We have cried for decades that we need change in America and yet though promised it never comes in a way that benefits the masses, but only the few.
This election is not a game – it is not a contest – it is not who is the most popular – it is not about giving huge amounts of perks to certain groups while others work hard, love their families, honor God and respects each other versus those who see the “good life” handed to them on a platter for doing nothing.
We need to stop making excuses for criminals because they feel they are entitled to a free ride at the expense of others and they resort to robbing, killing, and lazy lifestyles because they had to sleep in the box the color TV came in. America is a country where people who work hard, and who can count no day lost in which they have waited their turn – took only their share – and sought advantage over no one – can rest knowing they are contributing and not subtracting in all areas of society. Christians adhere to Biblical principles that make for a better society no matter one’s belief in who God is – or who they think He is not.
We need a nation that does not make a profit off of evil things like abortion. We need a nation that works since the Bible says that “If a man does not work, he does not eat!” We need a nation of compassion that helps those who CANNOT help themselves and shun those who want to live off of the labor of others.
We don’t need leaders who are only figureheads tied to those who bribed them with contributions to get elected. We need a President who gathers around him the right kind of people who are steadfast, honest, determined, and well suited for their particular office and well qualified. But most of all we need a President who is trustworthy and who tells the truth and lets the results fall where they may.
The Constitution was written by a group of men who honored God, and who had seen the birth of a nation come from the ashes of other civilizations that were corrupt and denied the right of the individual. Our nation became the greatest nation ever on the face of this earth; and “We the People,” have sat back letting the “other man” do the job and kept our heads in the sand while searching only for self-indulgence and self-gratification until we are on the verge of losing what millions built, fought and died for, in order for us to have what we have today.
There is no better plan in the entire world or in any religion that lays out a better way to live together in love and harmony than the Bible. God did not give us the Ten Commandments for Himself; but for the good of all mankind. But we have sat back and allowed the few to deny the need for these in our daily lives.
As the old adage goes, “The proof is in the pudding!” The finished product is the result of the effort. Since the Ten Commandments were no longer allowed in the classroom – we haves raised several generations of those who have no respect for God, for family, for themselves and for others.
God created the family first, then the church, and then the government. We have allowed the government to impede and trespass their role in leading the nation and into controlling the individual people when the government was designed to be of the people, BY the people, and for the people. Note – not of, by, and for the politicians.
America was designed to be one nation under God, but made up of fifty different states with the autonomy to rule and governed themselves. The states were to contribute toward the financing of the federal government in areas of defense and other endeavors that affected all the states. The states were to keep their own revenue for the use of the people of that state, and not give the bulk to the federal government and have to beg for a portion of it back. That way the federal government then decides which states will be helped and which ones will go lacking.
Some say America should be reformed. What America needs is to be transformed. Romans 12:2 There is too much at stake in this election – in all elections – to sit idly by and not become an active participant by exercising the privilege and duty of registering and voting by first being informed. When the majority refuses to vote, the minority rules.
