by byte clay

Week 14 in college football is dominated by all the conference championship games being played. Here is a rundown and the betting odds and lines and over/unders for the college football conference championship games this week in the SEC, ACC, Big Ten and Pac-12.

Most of these games have huge college football playoff and college football national title implications for 2015. The Big Ten championship game is really a playoff game because the winner will get into the college football playoff for sure and the loser will be out.

  • Florida +17 at Alabama (O/U is 40)

The SEC championship game between the 10-2 Florida Gators and the 11-1 Alabama Crimson Tide is being played Saturday, December 5, 2015, at 4:00 pm EDT at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia. Alabama is a big 17 point favorite in the game and it’s really hard to see a Florida team that managed to score just two points last week in a 27-2 loss to Florida State giving Alabama any trouble in this game. The Crimson Tide must win to make the college football playoff this season.

  • USC +4.5 vs Stanford (O/U is 60)

The Pac-12 championship game between 8-4 USC and 10-2 Stanford is taking place Saturday, December 5, 2015, at 7:45 pm EDT at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Stanford is favored by 4.5 points in the game but this is a dangerous game for the Cardinal. USC probably has more NFL prospects and better overall talent than Stanford does. If Stanford wins they still have an outside shot to make the college football playoff in 2015.

  • North Carolina +5 vs Clemson (O/U is 67.5)

The ACC championship game between 11-1 North Carolina and 11-1 Clemson is taking place Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 8:00 pm EDT at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina. Clemson is favored by five points in the game. Clemson is still ranked as the #1 team in the country by the college football playoff committee but the odds makers are telling you Clemson is not the best team in college football or they would be much higher odds this week vs Carolina. North Carolina has not beaten anybody good this year but the Tar Heels should have the talent to play with Clemson this week and maybe even win the game.

  • Michigan State -3.5 vs Iowa (O/U is 52.5)

The Big Ten championship game between 11-1 Michigan State and 12-0 Iowa is being played Saturday, December 5, 2015, at 8:17 pm EDT at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. Michigan State is favored by 3.5 points and the Spartans have wins this season over Ohio State, Oregon, and Michigan. Iowa’s only decent wins are over Wisconsin, Pitt and Northwestern. This championship game is really a playoff game because the winner will be in the 2015 college football playoff. Michigan State has the advantage here based on each team’s schedules this season.
