Sunday was a nice Spring day….with several inches of snow still on the ground so no one was really outside enjoying the day; after a morning low of 30 at Philly Airport the high reached 58 in the afternoon(average high is 41). Milder air continues to push into the region so overnight will feature some patchy fog thanks to the snow pack(colder air is denser so it sinks to the surface). Lows will range from the middle 30s north to the lower 40s south.
Monday will be mostly cloudy with light showers in the afternoon; despite that highs will be in the upper 50s, which is a good 15 degrees above average. The cold front swings through overnight and we’ll have an onshore flow for Tuesday. Highs will be in the lower 50s in the afternoon with an onshore flow, but then overnight into Wednesday morning a warm front will push northward.
Highs will be in the lower 60s Wednesday afternoon, but will once again be mostly cloudy with showers and even a few thunderstorms possible. Behind the front we’re around 50 on Thursday while Friday will be back to reality with highs around 40; there is a system that may skirt by along the coast to provide clouds and maybe a few light rain or snow showers, but that’s still a long way out there.
