It takes about two and a half days to unload & teardown the stage, but one and a half days to set up for the next show. The two massive Walls in the rear weight about 10 tons. The gold Opera Boxes are in one piece that fit into a 52 ft. trailer.
The actors have clean undergarments for each show and the costumes are dry-cleaned for every venue. There are 30 local people who are hired in each venue to assist with the 1,000 costumes and 100 wigs. The ballerinas change their costumes in less than one minute. The Phantom character’s makeup takes about an hour to apply.
