The Central Jersey Cat Fanciers annual cat show took place Jan. 8-10, 2016 at the Sheraton Parsippany Hotel in New Jersey. Featured during the event was an opportunity for cat owners to show off their pedigreed pet in an effort to inform and educate event attendees about the particular breed. Called the Parade of Breeds, it was a fun and informative way to learn about these beautiful cats up close and personal.
Seven different breeds were presented. They included the Savannah, Serengeti, Munchkin, Minuet, Abyssinian, Japanese Bobtail, and British Shorthair. The handling Judge was Toni Jones, and she was assisted by Anthony Hutcherson who was on hand to introduce each cat with their owner and offer commentary to generate questions about each breed that the owner could answer and stimulate conversation with the audience.
The Central Jersey Cat Fanciers falls under the Mid-Atlantic Region of The International Cat Association (TICA). The region consists of Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia. Visit the individual website links above to learn more.
