To celebrate the 88th Academy Awards ® this weekend, celebrities and entertainment industry VIPs enjoyed an Eco Luxe Pre-Oscars Celebrity Luxury Lounge at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills on Thursday. The event supported the Los Angeles Shriners Hospitals, and showcased fashionable eco-luxury lifestyle brands and animal-friendly products in the penthouse.
Celebrity guests included Lou Ferrigno (“The Hulk”), Adina Porter (“True Blood”), Frank Stallone (“Rocky” and GRAMMY Nominee), Sean Kanan (“The Bold and the Beautiful”), Vincent Spano (“Law and Order”), Erin Murphy (Tabatha on “Bewitched”), Erin Evans (“Gotham”), Lafe Jordan (“Cold Case”), Gabrielle Dennis (“Rosewood”), Craig Ramsay (“General Hospital”), Willie Gault (NFL Chicago Bears), Shaka Smith (“Stuck on You”), Talon Reid (“Frog Kingdom”), Claudia Wells (“Back to the Future”) and many more.
The most popular celebrity gift by far was from Chariot Travelware, who gifted a 3-Piece Chariot Luggage Hardside Lightweight Spinner Luggage Set. Because the lounge had eco and animal-friendly brands, many of the Chariot Luggage suitcases had playful graphics of dogs. E! Reality stars Patrik Simpson and Pol Atteu were excited to receive these luxury travel bags, and posed for photos with SnowWhite90210 (their famous red carpet puppy).
Everyone also loved the Solar Puff lights that are a great way to reduce climate change because they are carbon free. With an estimated 1.6 billion people living without electricity, this pollution-free light source can dramatically enhance their lives. Solight Design Co-Founder and CEO Alice Moon Soon Chun, whose company designed Solar Puff, was gifting celebrities this clean energy solution. It was exciting to learn that Alice recently spoke to the United Nations about these alternative light solutions.
Lou Ferrigno was there to promote his new film “Instant Death” (2016) that will be in the theaters soon. The film is about a disturbed Special Forces veteran John Bradley, who is trying to adjust his life back to normal.
Adina Porter (“True Blood”) was there to promote her new show “The 100” on the CW that premiered on Thursday night. Adina also told us about her new show “Underground” on WGN that stars Aldis Hodge from “Straight Outta Compton” and premieres March 9.
Craig Ramsay (“Newlyweds” on Bravo) had fun talking to Realtor to the Stars Debbi DiMaggio, who is Joe DiMaggio’s cousin and was there to celebrate Joe’s love for Marilyn Monroe. Debbi gifted chocolate truffles and copies of her book “The Art of Real Estate”. Craig told Debbi that his husband Brandon Liberati is obsessed about Marilyn and Joe.
We also spoke to Amy Marie Radzik (AR Jewelry), who gifted handmade necklaces and bracelets that she designed from recycled materials. Amy explained that if you have old jewelry that you want repaired or re-designed, contact her thru AmyMarieRadzik.com.
Celebrity guests also received gifts from Fete Petite Sirah (wine), Burnetie Shoes (made from recycled materials), Armani Wells (designer men’s apparel by Claudia Wells), Candy Vixen, Modern Oats, and Pet Oatmeal Shampoo (Paul Mitchell John Paul Pet).
Towards the end of the day, many enjoyed a golden sunset view of Beverly Hills from the roof top before heading to the evening “Salute to the Oscar Noms” party benefiting the Los Angeles Shriners Hospitals.
Tune in to the Oscars ® hosted by Chris Rock on Sunday, February 28, 2016 on ABC at 4pm EST/ 7pm PST.
