“A student of murder” opened with Seattle, Washington on Aug. 31, 2012 as Yancy Noll drove his car up Interstate 5. A silver BMW drove up beside him and a gun was pulled. There was a total of five precise gunshots. Four bullets hit Yancy in the head and he died instantly. The BMW quickly disappeared into traffic.
Yancy had no enemies who was a happy-go-lucky guy. Police detectives didn’t know if it was a random shooting or a rage killing. It took them two years to get a handle on why the person in that BMW fired off a 9 millimeter gun. Police found a silver BMW on a nearby security camera and stopped every similar BMW they had seen.
A sketch was made of a dark haired suspect. Police got a phone call about a young man named Dinh Bowman. He matched the sketch of the suspect. Dinh was an engineer genius who went to college by age 12. He was also obsessed with James Bond. Police staked-out his home and found a silver BMW sitting in the garage. Police detectives obtained a search warrant.
