Bristol Palin, never quite able to break free from the controversy quagmire, spouted off on Tina Fey and the Oscars. Here’s the abstract: Palin slammed Fey for once again aping the former Alaskan governor and 2008 VP hopeful, and she agrees with actress Stacey Dash, who called for elimination of Black History celebrations because they encourage segregation.
Or, as the Hollywood Gossip wrote today: “Bristol Palin has finally spoken out on the ongoing Academy Awards controversy. Thank goodness, right? We know how badly you’ve been waiting for her opinion on this topic.”
In a blog post on the non-denominational religious site Patheos.com, Bristol wrote that Fey’s skit recreating her mom’s endorsement of Donald Trump sounded “nothing” like her mom. In fact, Bristol said “hearing her fake accent is like nails on a chalkboard for me!”
It’s safe to say that the 25-year-old Bristol is not a fan of the 45-year-old Tina Fey and her notorious impersonation of Bristol’s straight shooting mum. “I think my mom trumps her in the looks department. Especially for having three more kids and seven more years on Tina!” she wrote. Ouch.
She then dissed Saturday Night Live for “clinging” to the Fey / Palin skits for the last seven years. “It’s getting pathetic… Are they desperate for content? Or just desperate for viewers?” Bristol asked. Personally, we think Fey mimicking Sarah Palin is one of the few sketches worth watching.
Bristol then opened up a poll on that silly, Milly top jacket that her mom wore when she swung by a rally in Iowa earlier this month to give Trump her official endorsement. Posting a photo of SNL producers working on a similar top, Bristol said the show couldn’t get their hands on the same top because it sold out, so they had to “recreate one.”
For the record, the top looks like a hundred Mike & Ike candies sewn into the jacket, their technicolor presence distracting us from Palin, who serves as a bit of a talking head these days, dropping nuggets on Fox News and making forgetful talk show appearances. Then again, it did cost nearly $700, so it must be uber fashionable.
In case you were curious, over 80 percent said Fey wore the top better.
In another blog post, titled “Rappers Agree with Stacey Dash,” Bristol talked about the race controversy surrounding this year’s Oscars. “[As] far as what I have seen about the #OscarSoWhiteControversy, it seems Jada Pinkett Smith started it because her husband wasn’t getting nominated,” she said. “I don’t know how other people think about it, but I hope my son sees early on – that not everyone gets a trophy.”
Clueless actor Stacey Dash sent some social media shockwaves when she talked about an Oscars boycott, writing: “Either we want to have segregation or integration. If we don’t want segregation then we need to get rid of channels like BET and the BET Awards and the NAACP Image Awards.”
“We shouldn’t segregate ourselves or limit Black History Month to one month a year,” Bristol said. “I wish things were really colorblind… I don’t know what we can do as a society to come together as one.”
Perhaps we could stop Bristol Palin from blogging anymore?
