Theater and Musical/Dance Productions
Bye Bye Birdie – It’s closing weekend for this classic play presented in Bryan, Texas, by The Theatre Company of Bryan-College Station. Performances are on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Freudian Slip: Last Chance Show – This A&M troupe of improv comedians takes the stage on Friday for the last time this semester. The show takes place in Rudder Theatre on the College Station campus of Texas A&M University.
Rioult Dance Troupe of New York – This modern dance troupe performs primarily musical works of Pascal Rioult. Sponsored by Texas A&M Academy of the Visual and Performing Arts, the show will take place Friday in Rudder Auditorium on the College Station campus of Texas A&M University.
Corps of Cadets: The Musical – Produced by The Mugdown, this original play by an A&M cadet will be performed twice on Sunday at Rudder Auditorium on the College Station campus of Texas, A&M University. Entirely student written, acted, directed, and produced. Proceeds will benefit the Lone Survivor Foundation and Aggie Rings for Veterans.
Cactus Flower Blooms – It’s opening weekend for this play presented by Navasota Theatre Alliance in Navasota, Texas. Performances take place on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through May 15.
Texas A&M Concert Bands – This weekend offers two days of combined programs by Texas A&M University concert bands. Saturday’s program includes the Philharmonic Band, Concert Band, and Sumphonic Band. Sunday’s program includes the Symphonic Winds and Wind Symphony. Held in Rudder Theatre on the College Station campus of Texas A&M University.
Grand Stafford Theater in Downtown Bryan, Texas – Friday night’s show features The Black & White Years, Tele Novella, and Nic Armstrong & The Thieves for a wide range of music genres. Saturday features Drew Womack and Walt Wilkins as part of the Texas Music Pickers series.
Village Café in Downtown Bryan, Texas – Joe Teichman performs Friday evening. You can almost always find live music on Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon, too.
Lakeside Icehouse on Lake Bryan in Bryan, Texas – This Friday, Saturday, and Sunday you’ll find live music on the deck at the Icehouse. Clayton Gardner on Friday evening, Rich O’Toole on Saturday evening, and Brad Gomez on Sunday.
Smitty K’s Sports Bar in College Station, Texas – Smitty K’s hosts Derek Cade on Friday evening.
The Western Club Bar & Grill in Navasota, Texas – The Western Club boasts a boot-scootin’ dancefloor. Friday night, dancers can circle the floor to music by Waylon Thibodeaux.
Blackwater Draw Brewing Company in College Station, Texas – This microbrewery often provides music to go along with its brew choices. This Saturday, blues band The King Bees performs.
Dog Days 2016 Kick Off Concert – Looking for a pet-friendly music venue? On Saturday, the Dog Days 2016 week kicks off with music by The Wannabes. Held in the open-air Palace Theatre in Downtown Bryan, Texas.
