Brand New and Modest Mouse join forces for co-headlining tour

by byte clay

Last summer, alternative rock outfits Brand New and Modest Mouse played a highly profiled co-headlining show inside Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, New York. Today, the two acts announced a co-headlining tour throughout the United States.

The tour kicks off on June 28 inside Saltair in Magna, Utah, and it concludes inside the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon on July 31. The tour makes its way to venues such as Red Rocks Amphitheater (June 28), Merriweather Post Pavilion (July 12), Madison Square Garden (July 14), and the Greek Theatre (July 28). Brand New and Modest Mouse will switch headlining duties throughout the tour. There will be no opening acts, which means both bands will play full sets.

You can take a look at the entire tour routing below. Tickets go on sale to the general public at noon local time on Friday, but presale tickets are available right now. Tickets will disappear at a rapid rate, so be sure to get yours ASAP before they’re all gone.

Modest Mouse are touring in support of their latest studio album Strangers to Ourselves, which debuted at number three on the Billboard Top 200 chart. Last year, Brand New released a song entitled “Mene” as a free download. The group recently released their Leaked Demos 2006 on cassette. This collection includes nine songs that originally leaked back in 2006. Four tracks (“Yeah (Sowing Season)”, “Luca”, “Fork and Knife”, and “Brother’s Song”) were officially released by the band.
