The worldwide WiFi and DAS provider announced today, Dec. 22, the implementation of fast, free WiFi at several US airports that deliver blazing-fast speeds of up to 20 Mbps for power users and subscribers. According to eturbonews, the new rapid fire speeds are part of the company’s S.M.A.R.T. network approach, which stands for Secure, Multiplatform, Analytics-Driven, Responsive and Tiered. The “Tiered” portion of a SMART Network offers multiple speed options, depending on the traveler’s needs. Although the service is free for all, super power seekers who require fast function as an extension of home or office have a choice of several paid options, including speeds of 20Mbps – bursting to 50Mbps. All Boingo subscribers, including those enrolled in the American Express Preferred Plan, will automatically receive the highest tier of speed when they log in.
Boingo’s new blazing fast WiFi is operating at the following airports, with additional locations launching soon:
