The Blues vs. Blachkawks Game 3 live stream online and televised coverage of their first round series takes place Sunday afternoon with the two teams all tied up after the first two meetings. Now things shift to the United Center, where the reigning champions will see if they can capture some momentum from the last game to get a home win. In the second meeting at St. Louis, Chicago was able to prevail 3-2 away from home to even the series up at one game apiece. Can they continue with a second-straight win to gain the 2-1 series edge? This NHL playoffs live streaming and televised game coverage arrives through NBC sports networks on Sunday.
According to AP via ABC 7 Chicago, Andrew Shaw was the hero in Game 2, as he was able to put a rebound into the goal off a power play. Just moments before that, head coach Joel Quenneville had been able to argue a call in his favor which took away a goal by the opposition. Also scoring goals in the victory were Duncan Keith and Artemi Panarin. Patrick Kane had two assists in the win, while goalie Corey Crawford had 29 saves for the Blackhawks. When all that was said and done it gave Chicago a 3-2 win and the momentum as they will have the third matchup on their home ice at the United Center.
The Blues had goals in the Game 2 loss from Vladimir Tarasenko and Kevin Shattenkirk. It was Tarasenko who saw his second goal taken away once Quenneville argued that there was an offsides on the play. That led to some insinuations from the opposing coach that the call went that way for a reason. Blues head coach Ken Hitchcock told the media post-game, “When you play the defending Cup champions, you’re going to have to fight through a lot of stuff,” Hitchcock said. “Calls aren’t going to go your way, you’re not going to get the officiating you want. It’s always going to seem like it’s one-sided. Big deal, fight through it.” They’ll try to fight for a Game 3 win away from home Sunday.
Today’s game odds favor the Chicago Blackhawks at -145 to win at home where they were 26-11-4. St. Louis, which was 25-11-5 on the road, is priced as the underdog at +130 to +140 at various sports books. The over/under goals total is at five for the complete game. Chicago is still among the top favorites to win the Stanley Cup. Vegas Insider lists them with odds of 13 to 2, just below Washington, while the Blues are 9 to 1 favorites to win it all.
