“Blindspot” will return to NBC later tonight with the second half of its first season. The series has already been picked up by the network for a second season, so fans will not have to worry about this series returning next fall. On February 28, TV Guide shared the latest comments from Martin Gero. He is the man in charge of the series, and he teased a bit about the return.
Gero revealed that there are some “huge twists coming” for the second half of the season. However, the mid-season premiere will reveal the answer to one of the biggest questions of the series so far.
Who is Jane? Is she really Taylor Shaw? Gero teased to TV Guide about Jane’s identity. He said that, “What’s so interesting about the back half of the season is, we finally get a sense, in a real concrete way, of who Jane was, and the more she finds out about herself, the more distant she feels from that person in the past.”
Spoiler TV revealed a bit more about the return episode as well. Their teaser report revealed that the episode will not pick up immediately from the winter finale. However, fans will see more of Oscar. Fans will also see flashbacks to Jane receiving her tattoos.
With Jane’s new knowledge, Gero teased to TV Guide that Jane will try to distance herself from Weller and his team. This will not be easy for her to do. The pair did kiss during the winter finale, but she now knows that there is more to her story. A clip released for the episode shows an exchange between Weller and Jane. She wants him to stop following her tattoos.
“Blindspot” was a huge success for NBC during the fall season. The network picked up the series for a second season early. Will the series continue on the same successful path for the second half of its first season?
Tune in to watch “Blindspot” tonight at 10 p.m. on NBC. Are you excited for the return of this series?
