As Bill Cosby’s lawyers prepare for Bill Cosby’s court battle against Andrea Constand, they are searching through her testimony for holes that may help Bill and discredit her. According to Radar Online, Jan. 5, 2016, they are looking have found instances when Andrea’s memory seemed “hazy” and the facts are not concise.
A source told Radar Online that Bill’s legal team has found instances where Andrea said things that could bring her words into question. “I’m told that in their review of Andrea Constand’s sworn statements, she said she ‘thinks’ the incidents happened in January and remembers it being cold like winter time.”
The lawyers for Bill Cosby intend to argue that Andrea Constand has the dates wrong. They believe the incident happened a year earlier than she reported which if that is the case, the statute of limitations has expired. The source said, “Cosby’s attorneys will argue at his next court hearing that the statute of limitations has run out in the case because they claim the incident in question happened in October or November of 2003 — not January of 2004.”
Bill maintains that the time in question was consensual between himself and Andrea and he never forced sex on any woman. However, his downfall may be in his confession of giving Quaaludes to women he wanted to have sex with, and his partner was always willing.
Bill wants the top legal attorneys he can find, who has the track record of winning the impossible cases and two of them are among the best. William H. “Billy” Murphy represents the family of Freddie Gray who died while in police custody. The other lawyer Cosby wants is Tom Mesereau who defended the late Michael Jackson in 2005 when the pop singer was charged with the molestation of young men or boys.
Bill Cosby was arrested and charged with aggravated indecent assault against Andrea Constand, but he was released when he paid 10 percent of the $1 million dollar bond, turned in his passport and had his mug shot taken.
The source said, “Ironically, if Cosby’s lawyers’ argument works and the judge tosses the case, it would be the drugs that could be credited with getting Cosby off, because Constand said the pills he gave her made her woozy and hazy about details.”
Camille Cosby is ordered to give a deposition on January 6 against her husband and she is fighting to keep that from happening. The lawyer who subpoenaed Camille believes she may know something because she is Cosby’s wife of 50 years and his business manager for a long time. Camille has asked for her deposition to be postponed because what she may have learned from Bill was said in private conversations between a husband and wife.
People reported that Joseph Cammarata will proceed with Camille’s deposition as scheduled unless he receives an “absent a court order” which directs her not to appear.
Do you believe that Bill Cosby and his team of lawyers will get him off the charges and if they do, will he ever be able to make a comeback to comedy and acting?
