The queen Beyoncé has taken her reign to athleticwear as she launches her new venture called IVY PARK. The diva and collaborated with retail giant Topshop for the new collection. Topshop is the British multinational fashion retailer of clothing, shoes, make-up and accessories that started in 1964 as Peter Robinson’s Top Shop, a youth brand within the Sheffield branch and also had a large department in the Oxford Street store. The department store Peter Robinson in the 1960s and originally sold fashion by young British designers. It has around 500 shops worldwide – of which some 300 are in the UK.
The collaboration with the POP Queen and Topshop was started in 2014, which makes this the official launch many Beyhive fans have been anticipated. Beyoncé said of the 200 piece collection its an inspiration of her upbringing and dedication to her goals “I’d wake up in the morning, and my dad would come knocking on my door and tell me that it’s time to go running. I remember wanting to stop, but I would push myself to keep going. He taught me discipline,” she shares, adding. “And I would think about my dreams. I would think about the sacrifices my parents made for me. I would think about my little sister and how I was her hero. I would look at the beauty around me. The sunshine through the trees. I would keep breathing.”
The collection is 200-piece activewear and athleisure called IVY Park which also features Beyoncé and her daughter IVY in video on the Ivy Park YouTube channel and website called Ivypark.com. The website and channel also features clips of new and unreleased music. The Ivy Park collection features Ivy Park emblazoned shirts, sandals, bodysuits, beanies and more.
The collection will be sold online and at TopShop retail stores as well as Topshop, Nordstrom and Zalando.com starting April 14.
