Kids love experiencing hands-on, including opportunities to make their own works of art or having the chance to touch creepy crawly creatures. One of the best things about living in the Vero Beach area is being centrally located to many larger cities where there are plenty of things to see and do. But, there is so much to do right here in the local community. Here are some of the best upcoming events for kids in the Vero Beach area.
Touch Tank Encounter
Environmental Learning Center
Kids will have fund during this hands-on experience at the Touch Tank in the Discovery Station at the Environmental Learning Center in Vero Beach. The Touch Tank Encounter planned for March 4, 2016 will feature all of the critters living in the 145 gallon “touch tank.” Many of the organisms in the tank are a representation of those critters that call the Indian River Lagoon home. The Touch Tank will be open from 10 a.m. until noon and again from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on March 4.
This event is free with general admission to the Environmental Learning Center. Cost of admission is $5 for adults and kids ages 12 and under are free. Members of the center always get free admission. The Environmental Learning Center is located at 255 Live Oak Drive in Vero Beach.
