Does the 2016 edition of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament have your head spinning? With Hawaii, Northern Iowa and Middle Tennessee State busting brackets all over the country, it’s enough to give basketball fans from coast to coast a big headache. Dish Network says it doesn’t have to be that way. A quick reminder that “Sports Bar Mode” is available to all Dish Hopper 3 customers across the country.
Sports Bar Mode can divide your 4K or HDTV screen into quadrants, so each will show a different event or program. You might think Sports Bar Mode was maybe developed with the NCAA Tournament in mind. Just think, you can have CBS, TNT, TBS and truTV all on one screen at the same time. It’s game-changing technology that gives all those Bracketologists out there the chance to celebrate and cry at the same time.
“This technology replicates the fan experience of catching several games at once, now from the comfort of your home instead of heading to a local pub,” said Vivek Khemka, DISH Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer. “Sports Bar Mode is an especially useful tool throughout the month of March, as the tournament airs across four different channels. Not to mention, it’s great for households who don’t want to miss their favorite drama or sitcom, but also want to keep tabs on any live basketball games.”
It’s easy to use. it’s just like using Dish’s on demand features. Press the “Options” button on your remote, then choose “Picture In Picture” followed by “MultiView.” You are off and running as the screen will break into four easy to see quadrants with the ability to toggle between then to get your desired audio feed. Sports Bar Mode works in both 4K and HD on your television when connected to a Hopper 3. On 4K TVs, the four quadrants actually show up in 1080. The Hoppr 3 is a major step forward for a forward-thinking company like Dish. It gives consumers the ultimate in versatility while digesting their favorite programming. Sports Bar Mode is a hit with sports fans that can’t get enough when it comes to ingesting live sports.
Remember that Dish is currently the only pay-TV provider to offer HD multi-channel view technology. Sports Bar Mode is the perfect name for this technology as you all of a sudden feel like you are sitting right in the middle of all the action at your sports bar, without the bad service and obnoxious fans getting in your face. Sports Bar Mode isn’t just for March Madness, imagine the possibilities when it comes to MLB action, the NBA Playoffs and then the NFL season. See more here.
