With the weather changing it was time for me to get a new look. My hair has been through allot this winter and I needed a look that would bring life back to my hair. However, my budget did not approve of the amount of money that it would take to give me the look that I desire.
So, I went searching on Groupon for a salon that looked professional and would give me a great price for all over hair color. It didn’t take long to find a few different places that had pretty good deals. Though, with Groupon it is very important to read the fine print. Even though a deal may be for $50.00 for all over hair color the fine print may say something like additional charges may apply due to length or thickness. You may want to call before you purchase the groupon to find out more details. And of course you will also want to talk with your stylist before hand about any additional costs.
You will also want to consider how quickly you can get in. Having a listing on Groupon may have the stylists phone ringing off the hook. Which means you might not be able to get in as soon as you like.
I decided to book my appointment with Belle Rae in Studio 12 inside of Sola Salon in Maple Grove. If you haven’t visited Sola Salon’s in Maple Grove, it is a very unique experience with multiple individual salons inside.
I walked around and found Studio 12 and wasn’t sure what I should do. The stylist inside was already working with someone. There wasn’t a sign in sheet and you don’t want to disrupt their current client so I took a seat outside and waited for my appointment.
My appointment time came and still no one came out to see if I was there or to welcome me so I began to wonder if I was in the right place. After about ten minutes longer Chelsey my stylist came out and introduced herself. Her current client sat outside as she was waiting for her hair to set. Chelsey was very knowledgeable and seemed to understand exactly what I wanted. She was very upfront that since I had longer hair the cost might be a bit more and she went over that with me. Something that I really appreciate because I have visited other salons in the past and they do not tend to keep you apprised to the additional cost.
After my hair was set we played musical chairs again and Chelsey finished up her last client. Which was interesting to watch as Chelsey gave tips to the client about how to style her look at home on her own. Her approach is very hands on and it is obvious that she really wants her clients to feel good about their new look.
Next it was my turn to reveal my new hair color. It was dark and reminded me of Wonder Woman’s hair and I was elated by that. Chelsey blow dried my hair and offered to curl it as well. But, since the appointment went longer than expected I opted out of styling. Kind of wish I would have seen what she could do but maybe we will save that for the next make over.
Overall, I feel that I got a great deal on Groupon. I found a new and unique Salon that allows men and women to open their own business. This allows me to help small business owners which is something that I love to do. I highly recommend giving Belle Rae studio a try. It’s cost effective if you use Groupon and even without groupon the costs are not overwhelmingly priced high.
If you are looking for a new stylist or just a new look, I highly recommend booking your next appointment with Chelsey at Belle Rae Studio’s.
