The Barcelo Grand Faro Los Cabos is a wonderful all-inclusive resort in Los Cabos, Mexico, that gets it right. Perfectly situated on the Sea of Cortez, the resort offers 350 luxurious rooms and suites, five superb restaurants, three bars, and a spa. The resort is perfectly situated less than two miles from the quint colonial town of San Jose del Cabo. The party town, Cabo San Lucas, is just 30 minutes away
As you may know, all inclusive resorts can be a mixed bag. Sometimes a resort may offer a great location but the quality of the resort is lacking. But the Barcelo boasts not only a perfect location but excellent food and a wonderful staff that makes everyone feel like they are family.
You will know something is special about the Barcelo Grand Faro Los Cabos as soon as your taxi pulls up to the front door. The hotel’s spectacular viewing tower gives visitors a 360 degree vista of the stunning beaches that have made Los Cabos a place visitors return year after year. The tower is host to the resort’s sports bar and it also features a sushi restaurant.
As you enter the property, you will see that the Barcelo’s beauty is anything but skin deep. The resort’s spectacular open-air lobby greets visitors. On the right side is the resort’s enclosed front desk and concierge area. The other side features the property’s luxury Mexican and Italian restaurants. It gets even better beyond the lobby, that is where you will be greeted by a couple of spectacular pools. A third infinity pool can be found overlooking the resort’s beach.
The resort’s food is very much in keeping with it is five-star quality. The beachfront Las Olas Restaurant serves breakfast and lunch. Be sure to grab a table close to the ocean for a refreshing bite along the sea. The Albatross is the property’s largest restaurant serving up international cussing nightly until 10:30 p.m. If you want a quick snack, burger or hot dog by the pool, check out La Isla, a buffet style fast food restaurant. For gourmet fare, check out the La Gondola Italian Restaurant or the Mexican eatery, Las Jicamas. You will need to make reservations at either restaurant, but the extra hassle is worth the excellent quality of the food and service.
The resort’s greatest asset are the employees who take the extra step to make sure everyone has a good time. The resort’s concierge desk is especially helpful with booking discounted excursions. The desk works with a number of tour providers to get you on your way to see what you want when you want. They don’t try to hard sell you anything . If you don’t want to do an organized tour, the desk can set you up with a rental car or direct you to a city bus where you can do sightseeing on the cheap and mix up with locals as well.
