Anime publisher Sentai Filmworks, today revealed its latest anime acquisition from the upcoming spring 2016 season, the moe and motorcycles comedy series, “Bakuon!,” which will be makings its broadcast debut soon.
“Bakuon!” is a sports comedy anime, produced by TMS Entertainment (Kamisama Kiss), based on the manga series from Mimana Orimoto. It is directed by Junji Nishimura (Ranma ½), and features series composition from Kurasumi Sunayama (Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere).
The story of the series, follows the daily life drama and adventures of Hane Sakura, and the rest of the motorcycle club at an all-girls school. When Hane sees a fellow student named Onsa Amano, riding a motorcycle to school, it awakens something inside of her, inspiring her to get her driver’s license and join the motorcycle club. As she joins the club she faces new challenges, and experiences the joy of hitting the road on a real bike.
“Bakuon!” will be making its broadcast debut in Japan in the early part of April, and the simulcast will be available through select digital outlets soon. Sentai Filmworks will also be releasing the series on home video, with more specific details to follow at a later date.
