America’s aging airplane fleet is dangerously behind the curve. Many US Air Force planes in use are older than the pilots who fly them…
In Palmdale, CA, where the legendary B-2 was built, Northrop Grumman introduced the new bomber design – the B-21 stealth bomber.
The airplane construction is based on the legendary B-2 and should create hundreds – or maybe thousands – of new aerospace jobs. The B-21design uses many existing and proven technologies used in the current B model. This should lower the price tag, experts estimate.
“This state-pf-the-art design represents the future of America’s airmen”, AF Secretary Deborah Lee James pointed out in the “Aerospace Valley” – how the Antelope Valley is called for decades.
With this new modern airplane, the US will be able to lunch a strike at any location in the world.
The Air Force did not provide any specific cost estimates for the project. Currently, experts assume the price tag might be in the range of $511 million per each aircraft. One hundred of them are supposed to be built.
It is assumed that this new stealth bomber will be manufactured in the same Northrop building in Palmdale where B-2 bombers were built.
This new project is absolutely essential to US defense capabilities, since Obama administration downsized all part of the defense structure – while US enemies are ramping up their war machines drastically.
