Born out of a desire to help art lovers connect with local artists during the inaugural Seattle Art Fair last August, the website SatelliteSeattle.com has announced some additional features.
The site aims to be a one-stop shop for Seattle art lovers to find openings, gallery shows, artist information, and other helpful resources related to art collecting year-round. During the Seattle Art Fair, the site will again act as a guide to visitors who want to learn about Washington artists.
In support of this goal, SatelliteSeattle is now the official calendar for the Seattle Art Fair, listing events and happenings for the participating venues, Office of Arts and Culture, Out of Site and more. They will be the go-to site for what to see and do during Art Fair week.
The site also added a brand new feature to help promote artists in the community. They are inviting local artists to submit their info to the new Artist Profile section, at an inaugural subscription rate of $15 per year.
The Artist Profile will be integrated with upcoming events, shows and venues listed in the SatelliteSeattle calendar. Along with images of the artist and his or her work, the Artist Profile will include a 150 word bio, promotion of upcoming shows through the new calendar supported by Do206, links to his or her website and social media accounts, as well as a short Q&A interview. Each quarter they will highlight an artist on the web site front page and social media, as well as spotlighting specific shows throughout the year. Once the profile goes live on our site, it will link through to our partner network, including Seattle Art Fair, Vanguard Seattle and the Seattle Office of Arts and Culture.
