Art enthusiasts rest up, and dig out your comfortable shoes, January 26 – 31 is going to be a busy weekend! The LA Art Show and The Los Angeles Fine Art Show will return to the Los Angeles Convention Center, the LA Arts District will host Fabirk Expo, and across town Art Los Angeles Contemporary will be held at the Barker Hanger in Santa Monica.
The LA Art Show will kick off on Wednesday January 27 with a gala Opening Night Premiere Party hosted by Anne Hathaway and Adam Shulman. The evening benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, will give guests the opportunity to be the first to view the galleries, plus enjoy beverages and gourmet treats from over 20 select Los Angeles restaurants.
With an emphasis on developing its international gallery offerings, the show will provide collectors with a unique opportunity to spot international trends, and explore a wide variety of styles ranging from contemporary, mixed media and traditional. Collectors of Asian art will be able to visit the largest groupings of Korean, Chinese and Japanese galleries outside of Asia to Los Angeles. In addition to the impressive selection of world class art, the fair will present daily dialogs, lectures, performances and special events. Oh yes, and don’t forget about the outstanding people watching!
Keeping with its format of a show within a show, The Los Angeles Fine Art Show will be in the space adjacent to the LA Art Show and tickets to the LA Art Show will be good for both venues. The Fine Art Show is dedicated solely to historic and contemporary art and will present varied yet, complimentary genres and celebrated artists who continue to work in respected regional styles. By dividing the LA Art Show into two distinct fairs the organizers have been able to focus gallery selection, programming and special exhibitions to appeal to a targeted collector base.
Public hours for both shows begin on Thursday January 28th and continue through Sunday, January 31st at the Los Angeles Convention Center, West Hall A 1201 South Figueroa Street, 90015
