Tuesday’s Argentina vs. Bolivia live stream online and televised CONMEBOL matchup will be yet another game within the ongoing 2018 World Cup qualification process. The South American region will have at least four teams automatically qualify from their conference, while the fifth team will get into a one game playoff situation. As of the current standings, that team would be Argentina, led by international superstar Lionel Messi. For the Bolivian team, they’re fighting to get their way up closer to the top of the CONMEBOL standings, as they currently sit near the bottom with one win and four losses. Tonight’s World Cup 2018 qualifier live streaming and televised coverage comes via beIN Sports around the United States.
On March 28, Goal website reported that this could be the final international match played by Argentina center back Martin Demichelis. He’s expected to start against Bolivia on Tuesday, but the 35-year-old defender has already hinted at hanging it up and not participating in the 2018 World Cup in Russia. Tonight, he’ll line up with Javier Mascherano as both Ramiro Funes Mori and Nicolas Otamendi are suspended. Demichelis noted he feels he’s “good in body and mind,” but also recently commented, “…the truth is that for me the next World Cup is far for my body and my mind. All this makes me say that this may be my last game. And if it is my last will be the best place for me, which is Cordoba, where I played a few times.”
Fifth-placed team Argentina will try to continue their momentum in CONMEBOL qualifying play after defeating Chile 2-1 last Thursday. Bolivia is in desperate need of a victory here as well, as they are second from the bottom with just one victory so far against Venezuela back in November of 2015. Last week they dropped a matchup to Colombia 3-2. They’ll be without several players for their lineup as both Edward Zenteno and Leonel Morales are suspended, while Damian Lizio has taken time off to be with his family for the birth of his child. That leave the visiting team undermanned and as one might expect they’ll be large underdogs at this game set for Estadio Mario Alberto Kempes in Cordoba.
Vegas Insider lists the visiting Bolivian team as high as +3000 underdogs on the moneyline. Meanwhile, the hosts find themselves as -1200 to -1600 favorites to win this key CONMEBOL matchup. A draw is currently priced at +1000 to +1250 at various books. The over/under goals total is set at 3-1/2 goals for the complete game. On the future odds, Argentina is the overall favorite to win the 2016 Copa America with odds of 9 to 4, with that tournament set to take place in June of this year. World Cup odds have yet to be formulated as teams are still in the qualification process.
