Sago Mini is an award-winning toy company with over 10 million downloads, 18 apps and a new line of toys. Beautifully detailed to seed imagination and grow wonder, Sago Mini is beloved by preschoolers around the world and the brand brings thoughtful design to life for both kids and parents. Based in Toronto, Canada, Sago Mini is a subsidiary of Toca Boca, the leading mobile-first kids brand in the App Store.
In April 2016, Sago Mini released a new app titled “Robot Party” where young children can build their own cupcake-making robot. Kids can mix and match funny robot parts to invent their own super silly combinations such as a robot bearing three heads, a wrench for a foot, boxing glove in lieu of a hand, bunny slippers for feet and so on and so forth. With billions of possibilities there are nearly unlimited options! Once children have designed their robot and picked out a costume, they can spin the “power generator,” bring the robot to life and direct it to the cupcake assembly line.
Once on the cupcake assembly line, robots can pile cupcakes high with layers of frosting, cover them with tons of sprinkles, or even smash them. A few silly surprises are also scheduled to come down the conveyor belt such as burgers, apple cores or wedges of cheese. Once the robots are finished making cupcakes, kids get to create fun robot music, bust open a piñata and pop balloons. Although quite simple gameplay, this colorful and delightfully illustrated app will certainly keep young kids interested.
Designed to spark creative experimentation, Sago Mini Robot Party is intuitive, silly and fun! Other features include:
• Discover endless creative possibilities with 58 billion robot combinations
• Explore the robots’ rhythms to make music
• Take a picture of the finished robots and save to the camera roll
• Play wherever you are — no Wi-Fi or Internet needed
• Ideal for toddlers and preschoolers, ages 2-5
“We designed this app to introduce kids to the wonderful and wacky world of robots,” said John Park, developer, Sago Mini. “The kind of robot you might build at home with cardboard, paint and glue. Endearing, silly robots come to life through imagination. Our goal is to encourage playful experimentation, creative thinking, and discovery, all while having tons of fun!”
Sago Mini believes that kids learn through creative, pretend play. As with all Sago Mini apps, Sago Mini Robot Party has no in-app purchases or third-party advertising, so kids are free to play without interruptions. Sago Mini creates lovable fun toys that seed imagination and grow wonder. The app became available on April 28, 2016, in the App Store for USD $2.99. To learn more, see here.
