News comes that there is a movie being released which is titled “Weiner.” Without belaboring the point regarding former President Bill Clinton’s all too-well-known sexual digressions of the past, simply stated, this ‘weiner’ – the movie “Weiner” – could be bad for Hillary’s campaign, too. The movie “Weiner” prominently features Hillary’s longtime aide and very good friend Huma Abedin. Abedin, of course, is the wife of former United States Rep. Anthony Weiner of New York. The “Weiner” movie is about the disgraced sexting congressman, and his wife Abedin is prominently featured, according to Yahoo! News on Wednesday.
Most recently, persons saw Abedin practically chained at the waist to Hillary after the Democratic debate last Sunday evening on NBC. After the debate, cameras scanned the event’s venue as commentators started to comment on the debate – and Abedin was seen on stage standing next to Hillary. Abedin was a headline and familiar face last October as well when she had to appear before the congressional hearing concerning Hillary’s Benghazi scandal. She also made headlines recently when Hillary’s private emails as well as her aides’ emails were released. Abedin wrote an email to someone entrenched in Hillary’s governmental affairs which unflatteringly said that Hillary needed to be reminded of things often because she’s very forgetful. Yet, the two remain very close. Beyond having a mutual interest in politics, both have controversially stood by their husbands who have been entrenched publicly in sexual scandals during their marriages in recent years. Critics, such as GOP presidential candidate Carly Fiorina, say they would have dumped Bill a long time ago.
Beyond the email and marital-related scandals gnawing at Hillary’s side throughout the campaign, she now has to endure the release of another movie that once again puts the spotlight in and on her camp. The movie “Weiner” premieres this Sunday at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, and is sure to garner great interest simply because the main character of the film is the considered-perverse husband of Hillary’s top aide, according to a New York Times report. Hillary is probably very close to Weiner, too.
The documentary-style movie asserts that many politicians have seen their careers careen off the tracks but few instances have been captured so completely on film as the incisive and painfully hysterical former U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner. The film covers the days when Weiner made his horrifically failed attempt at running for mayor of New York City. This political attempt was made after he, as a married man, exchanged lewd photos of his private parts with women under the creatively appropriate pseudonym ‘Carlos Danger.’ The film covers that epic meltdown and begs the question: what made him think he’d ever be elected to anything again? After all, who does he think he is, Bill Clinton? Few other politicians in history, other than Bill Clinton, have been able to pull off a political life of admiration and respect from their political ilk after being shamed by a scandals of sexual indiscretion – especially of the Oval Office’s Monica Lewinsky kind.
A film making Weiner and his wife Abedin look like complete fools simply can’t help Hillary in spite of the fact that her husband’s shenanigans haven’t seemed to hurt her too much – yet. Needless to say, if Hillary gets the Clintons back in the White House, Abedin – and her husband Weiner – won’t be far from it either. In fact, it’s pretty safe to say that they will be frequent guests at various functions. After all, political White House blood is thicker than water – and political common sense. The movie is to open to mass audiences on May 20, 2016.
While waiting for it to be featured in theaters, one could see “13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi” during the wait. That movie is about Benghazi and is currently causing a bit of mayhem for Hillary without as much as even mentioning her name. Many persons who have already seen the movie claim that one must see the movie before they even think about going to the ballot box to vote for Hillary. Ironically, much of Hillary’s problems have stemmed from her incredible assertion that the Sept. 9, 2011 Benghazi attack – which just happened to occur about a month before Obama’s reelection when she was secretary of state – was caused by some video. Now, her second run for president is being attacked – and will possibly be derailed – by the same medium, movie and documentary videos. For lack of a better term, it’s called karma.
