Anna Duggar, who displayed her stress-induced weight loss in a promo for “Jill & Jessa: Counting On,” reportedly agreed to appear on the TV special because she’s trying to save enough money to divorce husband Josh.
Tabloids claim Anna agreed to appear on the TV show because she needs money so she can leave Josh, who’s in rehab getting treated for sex and porn addiction.
While fans slammed Jessa Duggar Seewald and the Duggar family for exploiting Anna’s crumbling marriage and Josh’s sex scandals, insiders claim Anna wanted to appear on the TV show so she can make enough money to divorce.
Anna, 27, has been struggling to raise their four children on her own ever since Josh checked into rehab in August 2015. Anna’s depression is visible, as she has lost a dramatic amount of weight during the past three months.
While Anna is contemplating divorce, sources told Hollywood Life Josh is desperate to renew his wedding vows in an attempt to save his troubled marriage. “She’s contemplating divorce, but now Josh wants them to renew their wedding vows in front of both of their families,” said a source.
He wants to prove to her that he is a changed man and will never ever betray her again.”
In November 2015, porn star Danica Dillon filed a $500,000 sexual battery lawsuit, claiming Josh essentially raped her during their two sexual encounters. Danica had sex with Josh on two separate occasions when Anna was pregnant with their fourth child, Celebrity Health & Fitness reported.
In her lawsuit, Dillon said Josh was violent and rough during sex and did not use protection.
He was manhandling me, basically tossing me around like I was a rag doll. It was very traumatic. I’ve had rough sex before, but this was terrifying.”
Divorce speculation is heating up now because Anna is furious she spent Thanksgiving alone. “It’s been really stressful for Anna because her kids want their daddy home for the holidays and she’s a full-time single parent,” said the insider.
Making matters worse is the fact that Josh is unemployed and Anna can’t work because she’s a stay-at-home mom, and their income has plummeted after “19 Kids and Counting” was canceled due to Josh’s child molestation sex scandal.
TLC canceled “19 Kids and Counting” in May 2015 after Jessa and Jill Duggar confirmed they had been sexually molested as children by their brother Josh. The Duggars have reportedly lost income totaling $25 million a year as a result of lost book deals, endorsements and speaking engagements stemming from their TV show’s cancellation.
In a surprise move, TLC allowed Jessa and Jill to star in a three-part TV special that will focus on the girls and their newborn babies. “Jill & Jessa: Counting On” aired Dec. 13, 20 and Dec. 27 to impressive ratings.
