Amber Portwood changed her life around and she was able to win custody of her seven-year-old daughter Leah, according to Radar Online, Dec. 19, 2015, but now she has another problem to contend with. Us Weekly reported that Amber’s current boyfriend, Matt Baier, is rumored to have seven kids.
Amber may have known about Matt’s kids because in an upcoming clip of “Teen Mom” was shown, Amber didn’t seem shocked by the news. However, Amber was livid that Gary Shirley told the news on camera so millions of people now know. Her Twitter fans and followers began posting messages about Matt’s secret kids.
One fan posted that Matt Baier’s secret of seven kids made him “a catch.” Amber retaliated with the comment, “You would have to be ignorant to believe that honestly. he’s a great catch thanks.”
However, Amber’s post did not end there as she continued, “For anyone talking crap about this whole situation with Matt. this s–t isn’t funny This is real life I have to deal with not entertainment. I’m not dealing with this negative immature bulls–t. I have enough to worry about. I’ll block and be done with it. Love not hate learn it!”
Amber is determined to stand by her man as she posted another tweet. “I don’t care if I found out he had 10 kids. He has to deal with that and his past and I’ll stand by him. But I’m a woman and I hold my own.”
Whether or not Amber is shocked by Matt’s secret children, is probably put on the back burner because she is probably celebrating the news that she has custody of her daughter Leah. Amber has been in a legal battle with her ex-fiancé Gary Shirley for several years, but they finally reached an agreement.
In 2011, Amber Portwood gave Gary Shirley custody of their child after she was charged with a felony domestic battery. She allegedly assaulted Gary numerous times and several times, she sometimes she did it in front of their daughter. What was unusual about this situation is she asked the judge to send her to jail because she could not deal with her drug problem. Originally, she was to serve 5 years, but she was released in 2013 after serving 17 months in an Indiana jail.
Amber worked hard to turn her life around and she quit using legal and illegal substances, but when she wanted her daughter back, Gary refused, because he thought Amber would not be a good mother. However, Amber proved she is a responsible person by staying sober, and paying her bills on time. Amber and Gary fought a bitter court battle in July, but her persistence and clean living paid off giving her custody of her daughter.
