The Michigan Chapter of the Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA) and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) have extended an invitation to attend “FCA Connect”, an exclusive networking event at FCA US Headquarters at the beginning of March.
The purpose of this event is to provide attendees with the opportunity to meet and interact with other automotive professionals, and to hear about exciting engineering and business related opportunities at FCA.
Chrysler Group officially became FCA USA back in December 2014, after Fiat Chrysler purchased the entire corporation, The FCA logo was created after Fiat Group also changed its name to FCA Italy SpA.
ALPFA expects an attendance of over 200 guests.
Fiat Chrysler Group is the seventh largest automaker in the world. In 20165, The corporation sold a record 1.2 million vehicles around the world. In January 2016, FCA US announced that nine of its vehicles set sales records in the US, especially the Jeep brand which “logged its best January sales ever”. Also, last month, FCA showed an increase of 14.5% in sales in Europe (in particular in Italy, German, France, and Spain) over the same period last year, According to FCA “Fiat brand also significantly outperformed the industry average with January sales up 13.9% to more than 54,000 vehicles”.
The ALPFA-FCA networking event will present great opportunities for all sorts of professionals in Michigan in production, design, sale, marketing, and other areas of this corporation that produces not only Jeep, Dodge, Ram, and the popular Fiat 500, but that is also home to European brands such as the stylish Fiat 500 Abarth (assembled at at its Toluca plant in Mexico), the beautiful Alfa Romeo, and the elegant Maserati,
The majority of ALPFA Michigan´s members represent the automotive industry, whether working directly for an OEM or for a first or second-tier supplier. Many ALPFA executives are bilingual (and even multilingual),experienced international business travelers who will be able to assist attendees with information regarding this nationwide Latino organization.
The ALPFA Michigan Student Chapter also provides excellent networking opportunities to successful Latino university students interested in collaborating with Michigan´s automotive industry. The Student Chapter partners with Wayne State University, University of Michigan, Grand Valley State University, and other learning institutions around the state.
