The day before Christmas Eve, enjoy the traditional Irish sounds of folklorist, harpist, lecturer, and musician Aine Minogue, who has had success in both in the United States and Ireland! She plays the Irish harp, sings, and her latest DVD release in collaboration with filmmaker Michael Yip is perfectly titled for this time of year, ‘Winter, A Meditation.’ She will appear at Club Passim on Wednesday, December 23 at 7 p.m.
On Wednesday, December 24, Club Passim is offering two chances to celebrate the holiday season with the return of ‘Jewmongous!’ It is a momentous occasion because ‘Jewmongous’ is celebrating its 10th anniversary of their popular holiday comedy songfest at Club Passim! ‘Jewmongous’ features the talents of Sean Altman, founding member of A Capella group, ‘Rockapella’ and also wrote the television theme song to the children’s show, ‘Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego,’ a show celebrating its 25th anniversary. Hailing from Ipswich, Massachusetts, Club Passim continues its return of popular local talent with touring folk singer-songwriter and musician, Melissa Ferrick on Saturday, December 26 and Sunday, December 27 at 5 and 8 p.m. Having opened for the Indigo Girls and Ani DiFranco, eight-time Boston Music Award-winner Melissa Ferrick tours 150 cities a year, has released 17 albums in 20 years and her new self-titled album was released this year.
Acoustic singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Dora Pereli is making her debut at Club Passim on Monday, December 28 at 8 p.m. She performs as a solo artist and also with her band, Wooden Man.
Golden globe-nominated singer-songwriter and guitarist Marshall Crenshaw played Buddy Holly in the movie, ‘La Bamba’ and co-penned the John C. Reilly, Grammy and Golden Globe nominated movie, ‘Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story.’ He is a veteran musician with more than 20 years in the music industry. He will hit the stage on Tuesday, December 29 at 8 p.m.
Club Passim is proud to welcome the return of acclaimed folk singer-songwriter and musician Ellis Paul for the 19th year with four shows over Wednesday, December 30 and on New Year’s Eve Thursday, December 31 at 7 and 10 p.m. His music has been featured in popular movies and television and is noted for his inspiring songwriting. His latest album is called ‘Chasing Beauty’ and his new children’s book and CD, ‘The Night the Lights Went Out on Christmas’ was released in October of this year. Flynn and Betty Soo opens.
