In Yelm, Washington, actress Salma Hayek is mourning the tragic death of her German shepherd after it was found shot dead on her ranch near Yelm last week, reports KomoNews.
On Friday, Hayek’s Instagram, along with a picture of Mozart, her nine-year-old dog, she posted the following heartbreaking news. “I haven’t posted for a week as I been mourning the death of my dog, Mozart who I personally delivered out of his mother’s womb. He was found dead in my ranch last Friday with a shot close to his heart.” The Thurston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating, but Hayek, 49, stated Mozart never strayed from the ranch nor did he ever try to bite or attack anyone. “He loved his territory and never strayed away…he was the most loving and loyal companion. He didn’t deserve a slow and painful death”, she continued.
An ardent animal lover, Hayek’s ranch also is a sanctuary to horses, alpacas, parrots, turkeys, chickens and rabbits. Rest in peace Mozart.
