Nick Gordon joins Dr. Phil in a two-part interview that is set to air on April 28 and 29, 2016. The last time Nick appeared on the Dr. Phil show, he was practically bouncing off the walls and had extreme mood changes. People, April 26, 2016, reported that this time, according to the clip, Nick appears sober and not high on drugs.
It’s been just a little over a year since Nick Gordon appeared on the Dr. Phil show. Back in March 2015, he admitted to being under the influence of drugs, namely Xanax and alcohol. After spending time in rehab and cleaning up his act, he again sat down with Dr. Phil to talk about Bobbi Kristina Brown and the months before her death.
Dr. Phil begins the interview by touching on what happened the last time when Nick self-medicated himself with pills and alcohol. He said that he changed the interview into an intervention because he felt Nick needed it the most.
Nick told Dr. Phil, “Rehab was something I needed, and I’m thankful that I got that opportunity,” he said. “I was drinking so much at the time because I could not deal with what was happening to Krissy. It mentally broke me. That’s the lowest point in my life right there.”
While Bobbi Kristina’s mother, Whitney Houston, was still alive, Nick confirmed that he had seen Bobbi Kristina using drugs socially at parties. He admitted that he had joined Bobbi Kristina in smoking during that time as well, but then her drugs became harder and she used them more often.
Nick Gordon confessed that Bobbi Kristina Brown’s usage of drugs escalated after her mother passed away. In the preview clip, Nick Gordon said, “It’s unfortunate but at the time it’s the only way we knew how to deal with what had happened.”
Nick told Dr. Phil, “Regardless of what everybody thinks, I made Krissy and Whitney’s last few years on earth as happy as they would be. I gave them somebody to trust to, to talk to, to be there, someone genuine.”
Nick Gordon still denies that he ever abused Bobbi Kristina but he claims that her father Bobby Brown had. “[Bobby] hurt his own daughter, not me. I was the one there for her while she was dealing with him not being there. He’s not a reasonable person so I’m not planning on talking to him and I really don’t want to.”
Dr. Phil will ask Nick Gordon questions that everyone wants to know the answers to, including, “Did you murder Bobbi Kristina Brown?” “Did you concoct a lethal cocktail that you gave her to end her life?” “Did you murder Whitney Houston?”
According to the Dr. Phil website, on Thursday’s episode, Nick will share some of the details of his life with Bobbi Kristina and Whitney Houston. He also tells about their drug use and the way their lives spiraled out of control when Whitney Houston died. In part two, Nick confides the details of what happened in Bobbi Kristina’s final hours because he was the last person to see her alive and he was in the house when the accident happened. There is a civil lawsuit against Nick and he will address those issues as well.
Bobbi Kristina was found unresponsive in a bathtub in January 2015. She never regained consciousness so the doctors put her in a medically induced coma for about six months. Bobbi Kristina’s family made the decision to take her off life support so she could die a natural death. Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away on July 26, 2015.
Nick Gordon was forbidden to see Bobbi Kristina Brown from the time she entered the hospital until she was laid to rest beside her mother Whitney. The Houston and Brown family members blame him for her death and they believe that he physically abused her on that fateful night, mixed her a toxic cocktail, and pushed her face down into a bathtub of cold water.
