Getting and staying in shape leads to a much healthier lifestyle. It can sometimes be difficult to try and figure out where to begin and how to transform the theory into action.
Dr. Mehmet Oz, renowned surgeon/author/television personality, is arriving in Palm Beach County to help you out. On Saturday, April 2, 2016, Dr. Oz is excited to return to The Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens, for the 4th annual WPBF 25 Health & Wellness Festival. The event will take place in Center Court from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on that day and is free to the public.
Considered as “America’s Doctor”, Dr. Oz will empower attendees to transform their lifestyles. He understands the health issues that South Floridians face and is ready to give encouraging advice on protecting yourself from the growing Zika virus and skin cancer which is a large concern for South Florida residents that spend much of their time outdoors. The Dr. will also be touching on ways to ward off diabetes and heart disease.
There will be a panel discussion amongst a set of distinguished medical professionals, specifically geared towards topics that are most pertinent to local families. On a lighter note, get ready to accept his health challenge. This year, a special guest will be present with advice of her own. Beloved television personality and health advocate, Suzanne Somers, will weigh in on some of the health and fitness issues as well. The successful actress, singer, author, lecturer and entrepreneur will share her advice for aging better, eating healthier and looking younger. She’ll also discuss her own cancer scare, alternative therapies and simple ways to commit to a healthier lifestyle every day. “Imagine a new way to age,” said Somers. “What if you could live longer, healthier, be more youthful, have more energy and vitality without illness? I look forward to joining my dear friend, the admired Dr. Oz, to share this new option with you to discover how to age with true quality of life.”
Accompanying Dr. Oz will be his wife, Lisa Oz, bestselling author and The Good Life Magazine editor-at-large, who will be sharing delicious real-food recipes from the Oz family home and her new cookbook titled The Oz Family Kitchen. Her presentation will feature live cooking demonstrations and healthy eating advice to help attendees prepare easy and nutritious meals.
Although the main festival will take place in the center of the mall, there will be dozens of sought-after local health and wellness professionals on hand throughout the mall available to answer your questions. They will also be showcasing cutting-edge products, procedures, and services.
“WPBF 25 is so proud to serve our viewers by continuing to provide this exciting annual event,” said Caroline Taplett, President and General Manager of WPBF 25. “Year after year, enthusiastic crowds arrive to hear Dr. Oz’s powerful message and experience all the opportunities our festival has to offer, and we’re thrilled with the addition of health enthusiast Suzanne Somers.
