On Saturday the 6th of February in 2016, Spirit of Baltimore docked at the Baltimore Inner Harbor hosted an exclusive Winter by the Water wedding open house event in Baltimore, Maryland. It was the biggest Wedding Open House by the water during this Winter season. Who knew one establishment could hold so many Event Planner prospects on one ship. Did you know? Spirit of Baltimore is a one stop shop for any wedding and/or social related event: receptions, ceremonies, rehearsal dinners, bridal showers, private parties, and more. Talk about a very intimate casual or formal unique cruise ship water experience!
The open house tour took place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. serving a complimentary lunch food buffet inclusive of champagne, wine selections, brew and cocktails. The mimosas and wedding cake samples were flowing from every corner of the ship; the food samples range from their signature salad bar, roasted chicken, seasonal veggies and a dessert station. The coolest part of it all was enjoying the tour of the ship which took place every 30 minutes. There were also several event planning vendors in attendance offering great deals on the products and services they offer. As an extra bonus attendees of the day received two complimentary awe-inspiring photo keepsakes in Spirit of Baltimore frames. A professional photographer took your picture upon entering the ship and it was ready and framed before you left the ship.
Keep in mind this was the first of their yearly open house events which generally take place during their off peak season. Although the ship stayed docked during the open house, I have personally experienced the Spirit of Baltimore in motion day and night and it is a unforgettable experience. The ship generally departs from the west wall of the historic Inner Harbor in Baltimore, Maryland. Your pleasure trip travels from the Inner Harbor along the Patapsco River with charming views of local great landmarks as well as Baltimore’s historic waterfront. Try to imagine breathtaking water views from their panoramic decks. And while you’re enjoying all the ship has to offer you can wine, dine and dance the day or night away via their open-air rooftop lounge. I can’t forget to tell you about the view of the Francis Scott Key Bridge which is mind-blowing. It’s like you can touch the bridge and it’s huge up close and personal. The experience is awesome.
So, if you’re planning a wedding or event consider the Spirit of Baltimore cruise ship as an option. The greatest news to report from this event is the fact that they are offering another event planner opportunity to tour the Spirit of Baltimore in March 2016 and new open house details can be viewed here.
