PSIA-AASI (The Professional Ski Instructors of America and the American Association of Snowboard Instructors) have invited eighty-five of the top ski and snowboard pros across the country to vie for a coveted spot on its National Team. The National Team is broken down into further discipline specific teams including Alpine, Snowboard, Adaptive, and Nordic. These team members are an inspiration to the organization as well as ambassadors of the sport. They also craft and shape the American message at Interski which is an international ski congress.
What does it take to be a Team Member? They are inspirational athletes, inspirational educators, and lifelong learners of the sports. They travel the country giving clinics at many ski areas and resorts. They also work diligently to shape the educational resources of the division. Not to mention that they are fun to ski with and hang out with.
The application process was open to any Level 3 (fully certified) applicant that also had their children’s specialist 2 certification. The applicants also had to be U.S. citizens.
